We are really passionate about three things - history, travel and beer. So it’s only natural that we should create a website that combines all three.
Welcome to Historic Pub Trails.
It started as what you might call a traditional pub crawl - like minded people who enjoy good pubs and bars that offer great beers, wines and spirits. However, we were looking for something more - a bit of history and a bit of travel!
We started by identifying between eight to ten historic drinking establishments in the UK’s major cities, plan the route, drink in them, rate what we drank as well as the ambience and general feel of the place, and so was born the first Historic Pub Trail.
historic pub trails
Our trails are aimed at anyone looking for more than a pub crawl, rather a historic journey through time as seen from the vista of a city’s pubs and bar.
Social history in action.
real ale, craft beer, old pubs, new world. Find your trail.
what people are saying
Excellent! I've done both the London and Nottingham tours and been to some quite fascinating pubs each with its own quirky bit of history. Highly recommended for the beer and history enthusiasts.
Excellent tours for the beer and history enthusiast. I've been lucky enough to go on pretty much all of them and each city throws up some interesting watering holes to sink some good beers.
